Cinnamon Applesauce/Pure de Manzana con Canela

This recipe is perfect for kids snacks.  It is homemade, free of chemicals, preservatives, colorants and you control the sweetness.   The best part is that is really low on sugar cause the juice does contain sugar, but instead of adding more we used maple syrup which will made it sweet and it is still healthy.

  • 6 pounds of apples cut in long strips
  • 1 /2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup of water
  •  1/2 lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cook apples on a pan with the juices, the water and let boil.  Then turn heat down and let the apples to cook till soft for about 12-15 minutes.

Add the maple sytup and stir, then add the cinnamon.

Then pour in the mixture in a blender and blend till very smooth.


Esta receta es perfecta para las loncheras de los niños.  Es una receta libre de quimicos, preservativos y tu controlas su dulsura.  Lo mejor es que es que es baja en azucar ya que el jugo si contiene azucar, pero sigue siendo dulce y delicioso gracias al sirop de arce y sigue siendo saludable.  .

  • 6 libras de manzanas cortadas en tiras largas
  • 1/2 taza de jugo de manzana
  • 1/2 taza de agua
  • 1/2 jugo de limón
  • 1/2 taza de jarabe de arce
  • 1 cucharadita de canela

Cocine las manzanas en una cacerola con los jugos, el agua y deje hervir. A continuación, baje el fuego y deje que las manzanas se cocinen hasta que estén blandas durante unos 12-15 minutos.

Agregue el sytup del arce y revuelva, después agregue la canela.

A continuación, vierta en la mezcla en una licuadora y mezcla hasta que quede muy suave.
