Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce

               The other day I went to grocery store to get some stuff for the week.  While I pass the apple sauce section I started to want some, so I check the nutrition labels and I was destroyed when I read it had high fructose and sugar on the first three ingredients.  I figure out I was not a complicated dessert to make so I just bought the ingredients I thought I needed and homemade applesauce it was.  Of course it has no added bad sugars, chemicals, preservatives or artificial flavors and colors. This recipe is a win.

Ingredients of the Cinnamon Applesauce:

  • 6 pounds of apples
  • ½ cup or apple cider, if not apple juice is okay
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 1 cup of maple syrup
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon power

Keep in mind I get organic products and 100%pure, no added sugars.


  • Peel the apples and cut them in small cubes.
  • On a pot cook the apples with all the rest of the ingredients for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Put the apples on a blender and puree.
  • Store on an air tight container and refrigerate.
  • Enjoy!



Salsa de Manzana con Canela Casera

     El otro día fui al supermercado para conseguir algunas cosas para la semana. Mientras paso la sección de salsa de manzana empecé a querer una para mi, así que verifique las etiquetas de nutrición y me destruyeron cuando leí que tenía alta fructosa y azúcar en los tres primeros ingredientes. Me imagine que no era un postre complicado para hacer así que decidí comprar los ingredientes que pense necesitar y manzana casera que fue. Por supuesto, no tiene azúcares añadidos, productos químicos, conservantes o sabores y colores artificiales. Esta receta es una victoria.

Ingredientes de la Salsa de Manzana con Canela:
• 6 libras de manzanas
• ½ taza sidra de manzana, si no el jugo de manzana está bien
• 1 jugo de limón
• 1 taza de jarabe de arce
• 1 cucharadita de canela en polvo

Tenga en cuenta que obtener productos orgánicos y 100% puro, sin azúcares añadidos.

• Pelar las manzanas y cortarlas en cubitos pequeños.
• En una olla cocer las manzanas con todo el resto de los ingredientes durante unos 20-25 minutos.
• Ponga las manzanas en una licuadora y puré.
• Almacene en un recipiente hermético y refrigere.
• ¡Disfruta!
