HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE SPREAD

Creating your own hazelnut spread is really not hard or takes a long time. Today I prepared my own version of nutella so I can make delicious sandwich snack for them to school and have happy babies, but not only that but I made sure it was good for them.

Ingredients

1 cup of hazelnuts, raw
1/2 cup of soy milk
1-2 tbsp of coconut oil (it’s not only healthy fats, but it will give a shiny look to your spread)
2 tbsp of cacao power
2 tbsp of dark chocolate, melted
1 tbsp of brown sugar (it’s only one tbsp and it will do wonders on the flavor)
3 dates

Instructions

Pre-heat the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.


Spread the hazelnuts on a sheet pan and then toast the nuts for 10-15 minutes, just until golden brown.


Wait until the hazelnuts are cold and then grab them in small bunches and move your hands in circles to take the skin out of the nuts.


Add the nuts on the blender and blend until smooth,3-4 minutes.



Add the rest of ingredients and keep blending until creamy.


This recipe had been made for a thicker consistency to avoid a mess on my kids uniforms but if you like it to be more creamy all you will have to do is add more oil and milk in small badges until you get the consistency you desire.
