There is nothing like homemade masks for skin and hair care. Usually when you purchase masks at the drug store they come with chemicals to ensure that it lasts long on the shelves, this is why I love doing my homemade masks for my self care days.
Avocados are a great choice for doing a hair treatment on your own. Avocados are extremely moisturizing and nourishing for your hair. Avocados contain natural oils that are good for dry and dehydrated hair, as well vitamins that nourishes the scalp.
Avocados helps your hair to look healthy and shinny, specially since it is a natural source of biotin, which it has been proven to be beneficial for your hair, skin and nails health.
Avocados are full of vitamins B and E, and they these vitamins helps to protect and strengthen your hair. Vitamin B is essential in the reversal of hair loss and increases hair’s strength, while vitamin E aids in repairing any damage that the scalp may have sustained.
The use of avocado mask on a weekly basis, can dramatically improve the texture and appearance of dull and lifeless hair, enhance shine, and protect the layers of your hair, making it less brittle and prone to breaking.
A 2015 study found that minerals in avocado oil, including potassium and magnesium, may seal cuticle cells, which can help hair look smooth and shiny and prevent it from breaking.
Even thought there haven’t been many clinical studies on the effects of avocado on hair, vegetable oil has been shown to help protect hair from damage, and fatty acids have been found to reduce oil and improve hair’s overall quality.
