Achieving your health and wellness goals is much more than making a vision board and a rough list of what are your goals for this year. If you really want to change your life and achieve your health goals you must implement these 5 habits that I will share with you today, and you will not just achieve new goals, but you will change your life.
WATCH YOUR THOUGHTS!
The first thing you need to do is to watch your thoughts. Our brain is designed to survive not to thrive, so it will constantly work on taking you back to your comfort zone every time you are trying to do something new.
Eliminate limiting words such as "I wish, I think, Maybe, Should, But..." for empowering ones that bring excitement, motivation, inspiration, and courage. "I am, I must, I will..." are words that train your subconscious to work towards success and not against it.
Wake up in the mornings and repeat an affirmation, creating the intention to have a good productive day. Don't focus on the long, stressful day that is about to head up, don't focus on the things you don't want, focus on what you want and the amazing results you will have because you follow up with your new habits.
WAKE UP EARLIER
If you wake up stressed, angry, and in a hurry, you have set the mood for the rest of the day. If you already know that the time you are walking up is not working for you, then why are you still doing that?
I was there, but I knew I needed a change, so I decided to wake up at least one hour earlier so I could have time for myself, and my morning habits (read, meditate, and journal) before I get kids up for school.
Being able to wake up, calm, relax, and look forward to my day, set my mood for excitement, commitment, love and achievement for the rest of my day. Now my days are better, are exciting ... and sometimes stressful because that's life, but they are way better and I get to finish all my daily tasks and treat my kids with love and kindness because I am in a good mood.
See what would work better for you, is it an extra 20 or 30 minutes earlier, or 1-2 hours? I went all the way down to 5 am, but my life is different and maybe for you is another hour, but waking up earlier gives you more time and a nonstressful morning.
CREATE A ACTION PLAN
Did you create a vision board? Okay, that's good, we all need that inspo, but let me ask you this, "Did you work on a plan to achieve that goal?" Not having an action plan is like going to a vacation destination without a map or GPS. You won't know where to go, what to do, and what is needed for you to do, to get where you want to be.
This one might need a serious meditation session, a google, and a youtube search, and of course, a coach... but the only way to know is by starting now, and figuring things out or asking questions to the ones who are exactly where you want to be and see how they did it.
You can check our last vlog here, where I share with you how you set your goals which include a little about the action plan.
CREATE HABITS AND SYSTEMS THAT WILL SUPPORT YOUR ACTION PLAN/GOALS
Okay, so now that you know what are your goals, what you need to do to get there, now you need to set some habits and some systems that will help you achieve those goals.
One example is what I share with you a few minutes ago with the morning habits. Because I knew I needed to improve the quality of my mornings, I started to:
Wake up at 5 am

Meditate
Journal
