I get it! You are ready to make a change, but as soon as you try and make your first step you feel uncomfortable and go back to your comfort zone. It's not your fault, your brain is designed to SURVIVE NOT TO THRIVE! So yes, making those changes will feel uncomfortable, unwanted, unmotivating, and unconsciously will get you back into the known.
But the good news is that you can take control and get out of your comfort zone by knowing that you are in unknown territory, it will be weird, but you will get out of it and live your dream life. Wanting to make a change and to get out of your comfort zone is the first step to making changes happen so here are a few tips to help you get where you want to be.
BE HUNGRY FOR CHANGE
Are you okay with living this way for the next 1, 5, or 10 years?
To do anything in life you must be hungry! Hungry to do more, hungry to be more, hungry to serve your loved ones more, hungry to give them more! And that the only way you are going to be able to be better is by taking care of your health and wellness.
Then you need to hold on to that hunger very tight and not let that go, sis! (Read "How To Set Goals You Can Actually Achieve"). You need that hunger to drive you, to inspire you, to push you every time you need it, to motivate you to take another step forward because life happens and if we are not hungry for making that change you will give up.
LEARN FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE!
You will have people in your life that will love you and support you, but if they haven't been where you are now and/nor where you wanna go, then you are getting insight from the wrong people.
There are also the people who will also find the wrong in everything! They will tell you that something is too high to aim, too hard to achieve, or that you will never get there because they haven't. They will talk to you from their own perspective, their own doubts, their own fears, and from what they haven't done or now.
Surround yourself with people who are on the same journey that you are, who understand your why, and find that person who can help you get out of your comfort zone and reach your goals because they have been there already and know how to do it.
Learn from those who have already been there, this can be a coach (me) a community (our FB group), and then invoke the courage muscle. Courage is not moving forward in the absence of fear. Courage is moving forward when you're scared anyway. So just invoke a courage muscle to take the first and second step.
SHIFT YOUR BELIEFS
We all have two voices in our minds, but the one who's always taking the control of our lives is the one that is always stopping us from doing everything we want. This voice has already cost you your health, your life, your happiness, amazing opportunities!
You have created that voice your belief, and you need to shift that, shut it off and change your belief by always trusting the voice that inspires you to be brave and thrive. There will always be obstacles but your thriving voice will teach a lesson and make you smarter and stronger.
Believe in yourself! Believe that you already have within everything you need and everything that it takes to make epic changes in your life. The universe already gave you all the tools you need to get whereyou want to be, it is your birthright!
It is time to empower yourself, shift your beliefs, gain new capabilities, and tell yourself I'M IN!
ASK YOURSELF THESE 2 QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU START YOUR DAY
"What's the best possible outcome?
What's the best possible outcome if you do pivot? If you do shift? If you gain new abilities? If you change your beliefs? If you learn from people who've already been there? If you say I'm all in!? If you take courageous, uncomfortable action to move forward? What is the best possible outcome in a year from now? Or five years? Or ten years?
I don't know what this is for you, but know that the answer to that question will be different for every single one of us, including your partner, kids, and friends. Don't make their answers, beliefs, and fears your answer. Be honest, ask yourself this question, and notice how amazing your life could be.
What would happen if you don't shift?
What if you don't shift? What if you don't pivot? What if you don't do something new? I am very certain that if you answer those questions you will not like what you are going to see. Where would your life in one year from today? In five? In ten? What if you do absolutely nothing? What kind of emotion do you think you'll have over the next one, five, ten years?
Do you think you will feel left behind, missed out, you didn't fulfill your life purpose? Are you going to feel defeated, jealous of other people who have achieved their goals? Are you going to feel tired, unmotivated, fatigued, frustrated?
Knowing the answer to these questions will be the force that drives you every day!
Grap a journal take a few deep breaths, take everything out of your mind, ask yourself these questions, and write everything that comes out of your mind! Don't judge, don't hesitate, or second guess yourself, just write it all out and see what happens.
